¶ Playing Eaglercraft
¶ Navigating the Client
- Startup
- Upon starting the client, it will start loading. This can take a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the device.
- After loading, you will be prompted to click the screen.
- After clicking, the client will decompress assets and start the game.
- Avatar & Usernames
- Once the game launches, you will be prompted with a menu where you can edit your character.
- Unlike premium Minecraft, you will be able to select any username you want.
- You can also change your skin, or upload your own!
Most servers ban inappropriate usernames. Additionally, common usernames, such as “Steve”, or “Notch”, are likely already taken. You won't be able to login to many servers if someone has already registered with that username. Be unique!
- Playing Singleplayer[1]
- To start click the create new world option in the singleplayer menu.
- Single player mechanics vary greatly from base game behavior, unlike most servers.
Many clients[2] don't include a single player option.
- Playing Multiplayer
- The most common way to play Eaglercraft is multiplayer.
- To play Eaglercraft with others, you can join a server.
- First, find a server address/IP. We suggest the EaglerServerList.
- Once you get an IP, press the "Add Server" button at the bottom right of your client.
- Here, you can make a name and input the server address!
- Once you do, you will be able to join the server by clicking on it.
- Registering and Logging in
- On most servers, you will be prompted to register. If it says
loginthen that username has already been taken. - On most servers, you will register by typing the following command:
/register <password> <password>. - Replace
<password>with a unique password that you can use to login to your account. - For example, if you wanted your password to be
barney092507, you would type/register barney092507 barney092507. - Then you should be able to login with that same password using
/login <password>. This is the standard for most servers.
- On most servers, you will be prompted to register. If it says
DO NOT use "barney092507" as your password. Pick something unique, yet secure! If your password is weak, you have a high chance of getting your account hacked, and losing all your progress!
